What are the hot fashion and jewellery trends this summer?

Romantic Ruffles

From Gucci and Chloe to Victoria Beckham and Marni, ruffles have been a summer staple for 2016, adding softness and cascades of layering fabric to simple shift dresses and boyish shirts. With both structured and soft materials, we’ve fallen in love with the romanticism of ruffles, teaming the juicy gems of Aenea’s flowing Sarpa collection - which takes inspiration from serpentine shapes - with our favourite ruffled pieces.

Sunshine and Citrus

Deep golden hues, zesty lemon and rich sunset orange have been the hottest summer palette this year, bringing a smile to our faces and leaving us longing for weekends on the Amalfi coast. In fact, these fresh tones have lit up both our wardrobes and our jewellery boxes. Add a splash of yellow to your summer outfits with our yellow diamond Lazo Bola bangle, or for subtler sparkle Aenea’s yellow tourmaline Candy ring is the sweetest finishing touch.

Jewellery: Citrine cross pendant, Candy yellow Tourmaline ring, Lazo & Bola Yellow Diamond bangle.

Easy like Summer Mornings

One of our favourite trends this summer has been the cool, calm natural tones used for an array of dresses, shorts and accessories. Presented in soft, flowing fabrics and cottons, this easy elegance fits perfectly with Aenea’s jewellery - effortless yet sophisticated. We adore the cashmere kaftan dress by Madeleine Thompson (left), offset by the sparkle of our brown and white diamond Candy ring. For something even more versatile and perfect for easy dressing, Aenea’s new Stella pearl collection shimmers with strands of pearls to wrap around the neck and wrist, updating your outfit in a matter of moments.

Jewellery: Stella Blue Pearl and Sapphire necklace, Stella Tahiti Pearl and Diamond Earrings, Candy Brown Diamond ring.

Block Party

Punchy, bold colours, clashing tones and layered fabrics have set the agenda for SS16’s colour block trend. If we’re not opting for a single statement piece - such as Manu Atelier’s emerald green daytime shoulder bag - then it’s all about combining those vibrant block tones. And what a perfect trend this is for Aenea’s vibrant Candy rings and pendants? Teaming hot pink spinel with lilac kunzite, Padparadscha sapphires with turquoise beryll, we’re seeing rainbows of colour everywhere we look.

Jewellery: Flow Aquamarine and Platinum ring, Candy Padparadscha and Beryll necklace, Candy Spinel and Kunzite earrings, Candy Emerald ring.

Got Those Lacy Blues

How can you be blue with such pretty, lacy clothes? No doubt that lace has been the fabric trend of 2016, but teamed with soft, pastel blues, this has been the must-have summer look. A match made in fashion heaven, taking outfits from day to night, country wedding to city break in London. Self Portrait is the master of blue lace dresses, and we’ve handpicked the perfect Aenea jewels to compliment this trend. Who can resist the Waves earrings, with their elegant ombré sapphire loops? Or how about the openwork, lacy Flow earrings, studded with princess cut aquamarine, sapphire and topaz gemstones? Dreamy jewellery to match a heavenly trend.

Jewellery: Waves Sapphire earrings, Sarpa Blue Topaz ring, Flow Limited Edition Colour Change Spessardite bangle, Flow Aquamarine, Sapphire and Topaz earrings.
